The object is a paint roller with a rubber stamp designed to add a painted rose motif to walls of the home. The object is comprised of a wooden handle, metal frame and a rose stamp pattern on a removable rubber casing over a paper stump roller. These portions comprise the four main parts for analysis. The metal frame holds traces of robin’s-egg blue paint, but the majority of the paint is lost save for remaining flecks around the handle region. The frame which holds the roller for paint is most likely made of thin iron, is severely oxidized and in a state of intense deterioration. Five holes are located on either side of the frame, presumably for adjustment of the attached roller. The roller holds both the removable rubber stamp and the paper stump roller.
